Neurology Program

Neurology is the study of the disorders of the nervous system. This includes problems of the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles. Patients with neuromuscular diseases like Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), multiple sclerosis, sarcoidosis, Guillain-Barre syndrome and muscular dystrophies are likely to have respiratory and metabolic complications related to their condition.

As the leading respiratory hospital in the nation, National Jewish Health in Denver, Colorado, our neurologists work with a multidisciplinary team to diagnose and treat complex neuromuscular diseases and related metabolic and respiratory disorders. Our goal is to help patients manage their diseases so they can lead full and active lives.
